I could not be more excited about my first Praxis order. Skied in Japan with one of their team riders and could not take my eyes off of what those skis were doing and how bomber they looked. Despite the horrendous Canadian dollar exchange many have mentioned, I could not resist and maybe went a little overboard (3 pairs) but am nonetheless absolutely jacked despite never skiing them and how much praise they garner from the collective TGR.

    The Order
192 GPO - standard layup in a stiff minus with Tsunami graphic. Basically going to replace the old EHP but be a bit stiffer, and obviously a bit more rockered. The every day out west ski on anything but boilerplate (all of 2015) conditions. Cannot wait for this.
190 BC - Carbon/glass layup in a med/stiff with the Arctic 2 graphic - Tech touring rig for all over AB and BC and some huts etc... Finally decided hauling around 11lb skis and Dukes was going to kill my hips and lightening up was key.
184 Freeride - standard layup in Med/stiff with Screaming Bear. Western resort ski, tighter colouir type skiing, lender, backup for 187 XXL's.

Next would be protests I am sure, but not yet

Thanks. Really looking forward to seeing how the topsheet looks in person. Hoping next year they'll see some action they deserve, trip somewhere, either up North, Alaska (not if snow continues the way is has been there), or Japan.

Also btw- talked to Keith and the sale should be up through the weekend in case any of you guys are late to the party.

Def want to see how this one looks - ancient topcoat... If the rumored skinny Protest happens it will either be the ancient topsheet or the rastaman... As soon as I saw the hex graphic it was a no brainer for the new BCs I ordered... And the blue/white sth 16s I have will make it look extra steezy...!

Truth be told I didn't want to go UL as I still wanted some meat behind the ski. As a guy that has historically ridden and loves pretty damp/metally skis, it was hard for me to go all the way honestly. If I live to regret that, I am willing to live with the consequences, but the weight savings over 193 EHP's with Guardians, and Megawatt's with Dukes is still going to be mind blowing. I spoke pretty extensively with Keith and we decided that with the conditions we get and some of the variety of snow styles just made me opt for a bit more stability over the lively and light UL.

And the one nut thing Adrenalated said

Protest will happen one day I am sure. Currently though, just got a new pair of Megawatt's around March (warranty of old pair) and still love that ski for what it does so couldn't justify it on this go around. Protest gets the praise I know, but not yet for this guy (though the 192 was pretty tempting)
