La Salle's recent conditions?
anyone skied any of the La Salle peaks recently? anyone heard anything? Tag-a Long said on the phone that they tore down their ski huts (not much of a loss to the world) and didn't know of anyone skiing there recently...contemplating swinging past there in ten days, but with this years #$%^&* snowpack... my oh my...it may be slim pickens for a SW CO roadtrip in any way shape or form ......thanks, Chet

La Sals north faces looked good last weekend driving by. High snowline but the alpine coverage looked good on the north half of the compass as I sped impatiently towards the oasis that is Grand Junction. Bring a light hiking shoe in your pack and get after it imo. A frame carry + roads for access ftw.
You can hit the Tushars in South Central Utard as well, they got 5 feet early this month. Warm temps but still plenty of snow on better aspects.
