EC Powder!
Have been lurking a little after checking out Epicski and being directed here...any other S. VT powder junkies out there? Saw the EC rollcall thread--a bit much to navigate and seemed like all N. VT/NH people! So starting this one. Typically ski Mt. Snow area--have heard some good things about Magic but not sure if it's worth the trip. Any Okemo regulars around? Would love to make some turns with some 'maggots'! Cheers.

Thanks for starting this thread, it's going to be a valuable resource.
In terms of Magic, it sucks, dude. It's corporate, over developed, over groomed, really flat, the trees aren't skiable at all, and the vibe is all "check out my stock portfolio." They do have valet parking though, so there's that...

Mt. Snow sucks. You should try skiing Stratton some time. It's so much better.

I heard the Hermitage has some gnarly terrain, but maybe kinda pricey?

Ha, maybe! It's my parents place, so I've been doing most of my skiing there this season. Still plenty of soft snow in the woods! But looking to get to some other places before spring sets in too much. Haven't been to Killington for awhile either, and would like to see what MRG is all about, too. But maybe start closer to S. VT...

John Oates is a tele skier out of Aspen. He would probably like The Hermitage.

I can get you Magic tickets for $83/Day if you like. In return we pile a dozen or so into the back of my truck & show up @ your place. We'll swing through NH for fireworks first.

^Nice lodge warming gift idea, fireworks. It looks big enough to shoot them off on the inside, too? Would be so pretty.
Idk RG... The Hermitage sounds exactly like Magic.
