Good thing puregravity never falls for any marketing hype with his own hard earned dollars. Also, who are these people you claim to know who have tried one of the new crop of trail 29ers and regret it?

    Trolling? Naw. Just trawling

... But it was interesting reading Bike Mag say in certain terms that they would pick certain wheel sizes for certain terrain. Again for posterity:

VF: If someone is looking at the Process 111, they’re probably also eyeing the Process 134, the slightly longer-travel, 650b sibling. The two bikes can tackle a lot of the same terrain. What kind of rider would be better suited, then, with the Process 111?

Terrain also plays a role. If I lived and rode in Bend I would get the Process 111. Whistler? The 134. Santa Cruz? The 111. Bellingham? I would want both.
So, they reviewed the Evil Following in Bend, Oregon. That has to skew their test result in favour of the Evil Following and any neuvo 29ers in general.

Oh and that suspension looks ridiculous. I can't even tell what's going on there. If you want a front derailleur and a $7,000 bike with geo like that just get one of these. Or just get a Process or a Smuggler and a wide range cog.

Is it just me, or do those tabs on the grips look like a good way to break your thumbs?

I can't believe I got tricked into buying a 29er 3 years ago when no one knew about 650b! At least my bike is still fun

Honestly though it is tough to flick around, wheelie, bunny hop etc but you figure it out. It will make a 650 feel super nimble even with some slack for my next bike. UNLESS, this new 26er movement that is perking up takes hold....

I rode a bike today, and it was fun. Also I like my 29er even though it doesn't have a 67.8 degree head tube angle.

FKNA. At least they don't snag any brush or branches, though. Nice trade-off that way.

I saw an Evil Following while on a ride recently; the guy said he had to order it online. It was orange and fucking sexy. I want one but Evil doesn't like to tell people where to get their bikes locally. Who the hell is sell these bikes in New England?

Truth. The guy who took my order was the same one who was unloading the shipping container and boxing my bike up.

I just got one. It's orange and sexy. First ride impression: it's pretty much everything I want it to be. Feels like way more bike than one would expect for a 120mm travel 29er. It does a good job of highlighting how flexy 29er wheels are.
