What's the going rate to ship a set of big boy skis (190s) with a pair of dukes attached, across the country? (Tahoe to somewhere on the East coast where it still snows)?

Definitely changes depending on how far. Shipped some boots to mass and it was $18, wash state was $25

$35 or so. I've never shipped them with the bindings attached so that could cost you more depending on how you package them.

Be aware that UPS fees can vary quite a bit by location - and online estimates, label printing and house pickup will be cheaper than bringing them to a UPS business location. It's pretty stupid / frustrating.

^^^ definitely don't go to a UPS store, that shit is a scam. UPS drop off spots, like at staples or some shit, are good though as long as you have it all boxed up and ready to go. Probably $35-40 like Muggy said.
