We use ours all the time, eliminated the crockpot and rice cooker plus pressure cooking yields pretty amazing pulled pork, chili and soups.

The crock pot and rice cooker also sit unused.

What the fuck was so difficult about cooking rice before rice cookers?

No but seriously this is news to me. Growing up my Mom had her recipe card for this salad that guests would always request a copy of. It had bacon. It's all I know. I've ordered it at restaurants and it came with bacon. Maybe a Canadian thing. But googling recipes I'm legit embarrassed to admit I thought bacon was standard, I am completely mistaken.
Right. Canada. NM. Carry on, eh?

I've learned not to order the Caesar when in Canada. My daughter was very disappointed the one time she made that mistake. But not because of the bacon. In Canada the dressing is made like mayo and therefore comes out like mayo. That's all wrong.

Enjoyed many of them in Nelson.

Gross, no the standard I'm used to is mixed garlic/olive oil/ smashed disgusting anchovies but you gotta use em/egg yokes lemon juice oops forgot the bacon mixed in the bowl etc.

Re toaster ovens. They basically suck but I lucked out when grabbing a Cuisinart 'Brick' oven at a scratch n dent type sale. Thing was solid and held (compared to conventional ovens) great heat for ei pizzas. I generally classify microwaves and toaster ovens and unneeded clutter, but this is the shit. Still use it for all sorts of smaller stuff. (reheating generally, not cooking)

Insta Pot is a huge win in this house. One dish to wash.
We have made some amazing meals with that thing. With or without all the ingredients.

This stuff is amazing. As is their original which I prefer even more than this - somehow they stumbled upon the perfect salad dressing.

^^^Yeah, we like the original the best too. Sticking with the theme of the thread we just ran out of it, wife freaked, so I ordered a case of it to be shipped from Kelowna and it’s $80 shipping.

Well, I have to admit, that picture looks promising. So if those guys can get it right, why does every resteraunt I've been to in four provinces get it do horribly wrong?

And anchovies rock. They go in the dressing and on top of the salad.

Hy’s steakhouse in Whistler will make your dressing at your table, it will be delicious, and it will be what you are looking for - so there are the rare places that do it right.

Never understood why you'd have one unless you were a college student.

I also still don't know why we need that instapot thing.
