For all the grief the collective provided for our messy bedroom and vacuum cleaner, the living room turned out pretty nice for the fam coming for Xmas. So it's not always grumbling about the vacuum cleaner.

Insinkerator, and they are great. I've had one leak in ours that needed repair, took 30 mins. The problem was Lowes didn't have just the seal. So I popped open a complete unit and grabbed the seal. Dick move, and I should have left a note. Felt guilty. For a little while.
My wife learned to take me seriously about not dumping every goddamn thing in the sink when one Thanksgiving, she and my sister in law dumped all the carrot and potato peels in the sink, and it clogged up down beneath the stairs. My brother and I spent the whole next day ripping drywall out, cutting the pipe, (making a big mess in the basement) cleaning all the crap out and installing an emergency access port. All while we were massively hung over.

Heh. My wife loves to plug the plumbing with stuff that doesn't belong or at least shouldn't all go down at once. Our pipe has a little thing that sticks out inside the one from the insinkerator which manages to catch quite a bit if it is not small enough or mushy enough and then cause just that pipe to plug. Better than ripping out plumbing in the wall. However, she's not done yet. She's got time

Sorry to cunt up this thread...but kind of good to Jean this. I feel like the forum tool/password retrieval/reset functionality is screwed.
I am now locked out of access via my computer. I try to use the forgot password, enter my email address and it will not accept. Says check spelling of the username or email address and try again. (I have also tried username just for fun, even though it is asking email address.) I am doing this because out of nowhere, I was not logged in via my computer...I had been for years...is their any avenue to get assistance with this?
Maybe this was the right thread as I feel like my wife complaining about slow wifi when in fact she has 400 tabs open, has not rebooted in months, and is dealing with a slow computer, not wifi which is fine for everyone else and on her phone...she is not open to my suggestions to resolve by rebooting or maybe even killing hf of the unused browsers...

This is my second login. BrettAKAHugeAirDawg stole my first when everybody’s password got reset/hacked 20 years ago. I think I know my password….but if I got locked out I’d have to pull an iceman.
Puma - tell your wife you fixed the Wi-Fi but she’ll have to close out her browser and restart her computer for the fix to take effect.focus.

I am going to do that. You may read about it in the divorce thread, but it will feel good!
I actually found an old email from teton on a successful reset password attempt. It has a link to do the reset, it also has a link to edit my profile. I followed the edit profile link, and am now signed in on my computer...Crazy...

This is a fairly minor gripe, but my wife has started drinking more tea lately and as a consequence there are empty mugs with tea bags in them all over the kitchen. For some reason she feels compelled to use a new mug every time she makes tea and I don't get it. Personally I'll use the same coffee mug for days. Just the occasional rinse out and it's good to go.

I wish we had an answer for the PW problems, but we have gone round and round with the mothership for more/better tools and get nowhere.

We are on parallel paths with both tea and coffee. In the last two weeks, I've seen mugs and bags, boxes of loose leaf tea from all over, have heard of three visits to the new popup local tea shop and two different tea press apparatuses show up in the kitchen. Could be worse addictions out there but I'm not getting this one...doesn't even get you high. We had a nice tea pot for heating water on the stove and now we have a second electric pot on the counter. The replacement same electric pot she tried to light on fire I wrote about upthread. Madness.

Thanks Danno. Frustrating for sure I bet.
RE: Tea. Yeah, I do not get it. My wife is also on one of these kicks...
RE: Garbage disposal. Yep, I think this might be a thing with all ladies. My wife seems to believe it's got much more power than it does. Absolutely anything is good to go, and no concept of spacing it out, running it, then adding more food. Her favorite thing is to add the entire peel from a citrus fruit. Her favorite is lemons. It makes it smell so nice...I could see a small piece and immediately run it, but not the whole thing. After the above activities, how gets to deal with it when it's making a funny noise...Hint, no her.
RE: Trash in the sink. Yeah, I am lucky my wife does not do this. I did however commute for work on a weekly basis and stayed with a family member for close to a year. (brutal) Anyway, his wife felt that absolutely anything could be thrown into a very full sink. It was absolutely incredible. Yogurt containers, napkins, tea bags in cups, wrappers from the kids school lunch box...I am not sure if she felt they magically disappeared, could not be fucked to do it herself and was good with her husband dealing with it or what...but as I was staying rent free, I always cleaned the entire kitchen and made dinner for the family upon my arrival. Absolutely crazy. I am not going to even touch upon the lack of rinsing things off. Combined with what I just mentioned and a weekend of sitting there, I have nightmares to this day...

> A teapot, is used for making tea.
>> A *Kettle* is used to boil the water, to make the tea, in the teapot.
A teapot does not go on stove, or get plugged in.

I love my wife and all, but Jesus Hercules Christ...
I fixed the anything-goes-into-the-disposal with the “Can you grab that schmutz out of the drain? It’s not going down & my hand doesn’t fit”
It seems to have minimized the lime peels & other stuff that should just go in the compost bin…which coincidentally is stored immediately under the sink and is even sometimes right on the counter
