Gotta love it when she wants you to work on that big kitchen project over the weekend, but then on Saturday she'll be like "Oh, come on. I want you to spend time with the family. Let's go on a hike." "But I thought you wanted that island finished?" "It's ok. Family time's more important." "Fine." Then come Sunday night, she be like "Why's the island taking so long?"

Interesting - you pretty much never see those on the west coast.

Not until you cut it in half and fish every last molecule out with your toothbrush.

We have a parking deck at the grocery store we frequent. Mrs ::: ::: insists on parking on top of it. She says she doesn’t want to be crushed by it when it falls. (Please note, dear reader, that a separate surface parking area is also available.) So, in the heat of summer, the car is hot as balls when we return from shopping. I have suggested parking under this thing so that the car isn’t 100deg when we return, or even in the surface parking area that has tree shade, but, no, this is basically the shortest path from the house.
And utterly unconsciously but somehow reliably, she parks facing the sun at whatever time of day it might be, not just in this parking lot but seemingly any parking lot. No foil sunscreen in the windshield.
We still have to walk down the stairs off this deck & even have to use the elevator on return if we have bags we can’t carry between us.

I’ve stopped bitching when I get back in the car because she clearly has zero intention of changing, but jfc…

Today again, passenger seat in full sun was scalding on return…

I think I need to just stop riding with her. It’s too bad she’s the one with the smaller car that gets used more around town. Maybe a few refusals to join her for outings will adjust things?

    Yeah…no

I'd just be happy I didn't have to drive. My wife has picked me up from multi hour endurance events and immediately heads to the passenger side. Oh great, I was hoping I would get to drive the 2 hours home after I just spend 8 hours biking, I hope you enjoyed the spa.

If you set the AC to 55, it will cool the house quicker to achieve 70 degrees vs setting the thermostat to 70.

So you’re complaining because your wife drove two hours to pick you up from an event you did for fun and you’re complaining?

This is the thread where we talk about the almost-unbelievable upsides of having two dishwashers. Here. Where at least half the world will never read it. It's a damn shame.

He would probably uber and have a few drinks on the way home if it wouldn't piss her off not "including" her. Plus, manipedi.

This is something that I can never complain about. My wife always picks me up at the airport or at the end of a bike ride with a couple cans of beer on ice. She figured out, with no prompting from me, that our house is at least a two beer ride from Savannah Intl.

YUP! My wife and MIL are constantly asking for help with their iPhones. And ex-gf's before them. Despite me only ever having Android phones. Women will have rocked iOS for like a decade+, so shouldn't THEY be the experts on it? Not the guy who'se never had an iPhone. And then they get frustrated with ME for not knowing (or giving a crap) since "but I thought you were good with computers and stuff?!" [/FACEPALM]

Seriously tho. How can females be SO wrapped up in a device for years on end, and then have zero clue as to what makes it tick? I'm not talking hardware or specs. I mean just how the settings work or how to use it to begin with. And they NEVER bother going to Google first before calling me. Haha. Boggles the mind.

Seems like all of em are the same. We appear to all have good stuff around cleaning, dishes, chore inequality, home improvement, sorry not in the lexicon, tech, driving, etc.

My most recent source of argument. Driving. She never wants to, but good god...it is absolutely a constant stream of warnings about what is coming up or what I've not done well. It's amazing I was not in a daily accident prior to her sitting in that passenger seat. I really try to either smile and ignore, ask for clarification, or agree and apologize. My most recent episode I adopted the latter. Apparently, I need acting classes as it was not sincere, and condescending. . Perhaps I should have just said...when I am in an empty parking lot, coming out of my parking spot, not immediately on 100% the right side of the space out of the parking area...when a car comes into the lot from the road, is about 300 feet from the exit...I do NOT need a warning to WATCH OUT and do NOT think her bracing for impact is helpful...No need to scare the person controlling the vehicle for no reason...

What's even funnier...if I say a word about anything related to her driving, it's usually not a good outcome and is once again...my fault!

I have the same situation--android phone, wife with iphone. I just tell her I can't help and go back to whatever I was doing. You gotta learn how to do that. But I can't get her to google fixes either.

Haha. Guess we're all in the same boat. Same goes for how to use websites that they frequent. I have never had an Instagram account and haven't been on FB in over 15 years. Please don't ask me for instructions when I have zero clue myself. I REALLY need to start implementing LMGTFY more: https://letmegooglethat.com/?q=How+to+use+your+iphone

Yep. Same. I switched over 10 years ago. I tell her she should just switch over to a real platform and stop being an Apple drone. She does not want to because she knows the iPhone. So...why ask me how to fix then? lol

That should not have been as funny as it was...but I literally laughed out loud. That hits real close to home! Thanks for the laugh. I wonder if I should send this my wife way?
