Anyone else's better half do an annual 'cleanse' of some sort. Starve themselves of those dastardly sugars, starch, alcohol, etc? And take some sort of naturpathic herb to facilitate the expulsion of toxins from their holy temple? Making them grumpy and out of sorts?

Do they ever plan this around Mother's day, with the expectation that you will make that day extra special, despite their less than amicable mood?

Do they also plan this special body maintenance when an 80yr old parent comes to visit for the weekend?

    FML.

Hmm, I’m pretty sure our bodies have a really good system for processing sugars, starch and alcohol as well as toxins.

So a science-based rational argument works in your home? You don't belong in this thread.

i went to a weekend retreat just before the world went into lock-down and it was kind of cool, far as i could tell it was a group of high functioning people who probably live under a lot of stress

lots of yoga practice, vegetarian food, contemplation

so when you go into silence at the beginning you pass a talsiman around the circle and share with the group what you hope to experience,

when you come out of silence you pass around the talisman and share what you experienced, about 1/3 of the group broke into uncontrollable sobbing at this point

    it was beautiful man

From my obs you would have a 33% chance of blubbering in front of a bunch of professional types as you share your feelings

but you know, good for personal growth

nobody did that but it would be dramatic

one of my buds brought her husband the pipeline contracter,

buddy said it was just like being in camp, you spend the shift in a fume tent running welding rod, its all hand signals cuz the exhast fans in the welding tent are so loud you can't hear shit or talk with the helper, in the mess hall everyone is plugged into their music so nobody talks ... industrial camps are like a silent retreat

no wonder they are all on drugs

Soda stream is a hit. Shit is delicious, so much better than the canned crap.

Although between my wife and daughter they have probably drank 15 bottles in the last 3 days and those CO2 cartridges ain’t cheap.

Get the adapter to the 20lb co2 tank if that enthusiasm is maintained.

Your hand can get destroyed and cut or sliced open with the way those zip ties have been cut off. Basically need to have a better pair of side cutters that cut those flusher, cleaner and closer to the eye opening part and not at an angle either.

That's probably the point. He turned it into a porcupine that no one wants to touch for fear of getting stuck.
