Boy I hope everybody else is whining about Trey like you guys. It will make it easier for me to get the tickets I want rather than nosebleeds.

Trey is as good a choice as they could have made. Sure there are other good choices but he may actually turn out to the best one.

My first Phish show was within two weeks of my first Dead show in the spring of '85. The Dead at Nassau 3/28 and Phish on the lawn outside the cafeteria on campus at Castleton during spring break in early April. There were many bar shows after that before they hit "the big time" and the crowd got ratty.

Vegas and Miami were certainly not firemost, and look who keeps tossing out the PT-isms...
For somebody who has obviously seen decent shows, you cannot truly believe Trey is killing it, can you? I am negative because I am dissapointed. The band sucks to my ears right now. I just can't get into it. The jams sound the same, and not in a pleasing way. I am not a fan of the rock and roll radio show they play night after night.
Look, guy, we have a few mutual friends so I am gonna just leave this as we agree to disagree. I have seen well over 100 shows, taped and toured, in all eras. I just thought Phish was gonna do it differently. But, have fun at the shows, if you're having fun my opinion doesnt mean shit. It doesnt mean shit anyway.

Yea, I thought this latest Fall tour (10/31 the big exception) was the worst tour of 3.0. Very uninspired playing. With the exception of 10/31, no show was worth listening to twice.

I'll continue this thread hijack by saying fall '13 almost had me believing again. Then, well

You know what though, lots of people are stoked and that's cool. This Dead50 run will create a lifetime of stories and maybe some folks will get introduced to something new that they've been looking for. Sweet.

It just ain't my thing, not anymore, I guess.

If you don't notice a difference between late summer/fall 2014 Trey tone and the tone in Miami then you don't have a very good ear. That Miami tone was the best tone since, maybe 2003? (if you dig the uncompressed growl). Granted there was a distinct drop in soloing from fall 13 to halloween/NYE run 2014, but the band was exploring the style they'd really unveil with the halloween set. Then NYE run you had Trey playing good lead again, combined with the new style they'd jammed on for the past year. And practicing to play his best for these Dead shows can only mean good things for the phish shows in 2015.

Money orders on the road yesterday. It's in Jerry's hands now.

Hopefully the $50 I included labled "beers on me, I need a miracle!" helps.

    Pricing for VIP tomorrow.

Got 2 for each night through mail order. Email came in last night.

Going to try and get VIP today, and then sell the others.

It will be difficult, to not sell them all, and take a nice vacation.
