What is taped to the toe piece of the P18's? What year are they from?

There are two small plastic semicircular peces taped to that toe piece on the P18s. They are from the model year before Look discontinued them for a few years, I am not sure which year. Local sale pending on the P18s actually, i will let you know if it falls through
