I am so sad to hear this.

Viggen - my heart goes out to you, his wife and your family.
We heard you in our twilight caves, one hundred fathom deep below, for notes of joy can pierce the waves, that drown each sound of war and woe.

Damn, I was hoping for better news. Gripen was definitely a good guy with a good heart. He showed my wife and I around Big Mtn, then took us in a few days later in Golden and showed us around KH too. It just never seems fair when bad things happen to good people. RIP my friend.

Edit to add a photo of Gripen from KH:

So sorry. I too followed his story, never commenting. He was a quality individual. Fly high, fly fast, Gripen.

I really felt mixed emotions this morning when I heard. As soon as you see hospice you know its bad and change gears from keep on fighting to get some peace man. I don't think I could ever ski Red Light or try to ski between two rocks on gun tower without thinking of Ethan.

Condolences to you and his friends and family.

Never knew him but he left an interesting wake on TGR. I went back and looked at the digital trail he left here over several years.

Sorry for your loss, I had a couple of classes with Ethan in high school and he seemed like a good kid. Went way before his time, condolences to his family and friends.

Any of you Mags in the area, we are having a memorial at the Horse on thursday, December 18th, after a day of skiing. 3:30 up top for a drink, then heading to the base to continue.

We did an extreme ski camp with Gripen and Brenda a few years back and he was a really solid guy and fun to be around. He would always have a smile on his face and shared a wealth of experience with all of us. Gripen I know your skiing the big lines in the sky and you will be missed by many.

RIP Gripen I will always think of you when I ski the horse.

Man that sucks, at least he went peacefully in his sleep, always thought that would be the best way to go out. Thoughts are with you.
