Today we are celebrating my buddy's birthday with a Mtn bike ride, cook out and bon fire.

Eric is a year and half out of his bone marrow transplant and is doing great. Many more adventures ahead.

One year ago today my son was diagnosed with a brain tumor. This year on November 9th, we spent the day at the beach in Hawaii and ate a roast pig for dinner. Research doctors and an amazing support team at the hospital saved my son's life.

Fuck you, cancer. May you never return to my son's body.

    Fuck Fuck Fuck Canacer

My friend Monica died yesterday. She married her longtime boyfriend and father to her son Kai this Nov 14th. This breaks my heart to no end.

If you lived in Banff circa 1992 to 1193 she worked at the CIBC bank and you might have know her with that amazing smile and so cool attitude. She called herself a FlyGirl and danced like one when we used party at Tommy's

I miss her already. This sucks so bad. Her husband Sander and son Kai will be picking up the pieces and I know they will never be the same.

FUCK CANCER a million x's over

I’ve been avoiding reading this thread because I’m already sad, but Kenny Satch, I’m really sorry about your friend. It’s just heart-breaking.

My turn now, fuck cancer. It’s not enough that it took my wife this year, now I’ve been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Not life-threatening or anything at this point, but it’s a major pain in the ass (see what I did there?). FML

What a bunch of highs and lows in here. Such great news from Sorrybro, horrible news from Kenny and Meadowskipper, sorry for your loss Kenny and fuck cancer Meadowskipper, you sure as hell don't deserve it.
We lost my wifes father over Thanksgiving after a 2 year battle with Leukemia, he just couldn't fight any more. Man cancer fucking sucks!

I am sorry for your loss Kenny. Monica's great smile appears to tell a lot about the person she was.

Well, I'll offset all the bad news with some good. Ruby had new scans done last week that continue to show almost complete disappearance of her tumors. Continuing treatment with entrectinib since she's about one year into a two-year trial. There are some side effects from the drug, the coordination and neuromuscular issues that I've mentioned before and some minor weight gain, but nothing compared to chemo or radiation. For now she's just a normal happy and healthy 6 y.o.
