MLB 2015
Hey, I'll start it, because you guys are slacking off. Can't believe most of the day has passed without mention of the Lester deal. Boo yah. Madden, and now this. Da Cubs may actually make the post season soon. Yes, I said it. Still need a few more players before we use that WS phrase.

We as in fans in general. Sorry your tender little soul was offended.
How's that Cano deal looking, btw? Left you guys with a lot of cash for this winter. And next winter. And the winter after that........
Thanks for Ichiro

Robertson is 30. Fast balls don't last long into one's thirties.

What happened to Hank Steinbrenner?
Not sure that I like the Lester deal as a Cubs fan. 31 year old pitchers don't tend to perform well at the end of these 6-7 year contracts, but if it means a Cubs WS who gives a shit.Damn shame, throwing away a perfectly good white boy like that

You gotta start somewhere. Madden is a great pitcher's manager. Bring in a solid veteran to mentor a new staff to come. Maybe Lester was promised a future beyond the field, too. He and the wunderkind Epstein probably have a good relationship from back in the day in Boston.
Boston radio must be ablaze with this deal.

FWIW, seemed the Dodgers won the offseason last year. Building their team around Puig? Multi-million $$$ talent, five cent head...

Sorry BoSox fans, he's your problem now. Just look at that $95 million belly.

Buster Olney and some other ESPN hack have the Tribe in the top 5 of their preseason rankings.
Reigning Cy Young winner heading up a great, young starting 5 (probably 7 deep on starters), third place finisher in MVP race in Brantley, Kipnis, Santana, and the acquisition of Brandon Moss from OAK makes for a fine team.
Roll Tribe!I still call it The Jake.

Umm... as a Giant's fan, let me just say he earned one of those three rings with his fat ass on the bench. But yeah, he did some serious work in the other two, although he never showed up to CAMP looking that fat. Keep in mind he gains more weight as the season goes on. I sincerely hope Pablo's knees hold up under that weight. Pretty sure he didn't have anything to do with MadBum being a stud last fall, though.

Pablo bailed on the Giants. They offered him $100mil, he bolted for less. I'll be eternally happy for what Panda did for the Giants their past 2 WS runs, it was a blast watching him crank it up in October. Almost makes me forget the sub .200 stink he put up the 1st 2 months of 2014. But like TahoeJ said, he usually ends the season heavier than he starts it. One look at that pic and the Giants may have dodged a $100 million bullet.

I have to thank Panda for the 3-HR World Series game in 2012 that I attended - just incredible.
For 2015, he's got his $$ and rings and left the Giants for Boston. It's hard to see how he's going to be positively motivated to keep his weight down. Wish him the best, but could imagine Boston fans being rough on him if he falters.
