What I really came to post is this fucking bullshit. I have *some* sympathy for individual leos but I fucking hate cop unions that unilaterally defend racist corrupt cops AND THEN pull this shit:

aside: because cops suck, contracting out policing can be a boondoggle. When I worked early shift used to drive by the sheriffs who were billing my town as they napped in their patrol car.

Did you watch the vid? My take is that the man was too psychologically scarred from his past to rationally deal with the situation but still doesn’t excuse his actions. If he didn’t lunge at the cop and start chocking him out he’s still alive today.
