Read something yesterday that said something like, "driving at 85mph uses 30% more fuel than going 70mph". Guess I need to slow down.

Don't forget to lift at the end of the straightaway.

The difference in milage in my Tundra dropping down to 75mph from 80mph on the highway is significant.

80% of the idiots on the road shouldn't be driving over 60.
Make a skid car course mandatory for a driving test. If you don't pass, you get a 3cyl Yugo

I like this one better since it shows the dips associated with gear ratios. Name: nyVML.png

Seems like that may not be a widespread phenomenon:

That's because you're dealing with a single-digit denominators. So that 3.8mpg Brandon makes you save actually represents 40% of your freedom [high speed] mileage.

I honestly hate driving slow (aka the speed limit) but lately I have done it. Not because I can't afford the gas but because I am finally sick of my money propping up dictators.
Don't ask me to drive slow all the time quite yet though

So I ran a tank of their E85. The fuel mileage seemed to be take a hit with the average MPG down about 6 MPG but the performance at least for that tank seemed pretty good.

Even at the heightet point in late 2021 or 2022.. other than the Colonial Pipeline hack.. did anyone see any gas stations completely out of gas anywhere at any time when gas was above $4/gallon? I'm calling BS on this while charade.

As first reported by The Drive, a decentralized group called the Tyre Extinguishers (the spelling hints at the group's U.K. origins) is promoting the idea of deflating the tires of as many SUVs as possible to help make it "impossible to own a huge polluting 4x4 in the world's urban areas." By deflating enough tires on these "massive, unnecessary vehicles," the group hopes to cause enough "inconvenience and expense for their owners" that people just stop driving big vehicles in crowded areas.

I did a Hotshot for a driller so instead of paying me with a check he told me to just keep using the cardlock card and if i go over what he owes me I will owe him another hot shot somewhere down the road, it IS money he owes me but it feels like free gas and I get fleet pricing eh
