You can run 85 at elevation as the thinner air prevents detonation.

I think I paid $4.69 the other day here on the island, $85.00 to fill one tank. I paid $4.29 for alcohol free regular in Burlington Saturday for the Volvo. The money I'd save filling the truck's both tanks would pay for the ferry fare but you have to get in line for the boat at least two hours early lately (on a good day, after a holiday the line is a mile long) and any trip off island is an all day event.

I filled up my tank a few days ago and it was $116. Only $2.89 a gallon, but a big tank.

    Which station?

In Bellingham the only ethanol-free gas is "mid grade" @ the 76 station. I haven't bought any recently, but it's more expensive than premium.

At the Skagit Farmers Supply (across from the mall), they have three grades, premium there is usually about what I pay here for regular. I put about 200 miles a month on my Volvo wagon so I'll fill it there on my monthly trip off island.
I see a sign for Ethanol free gas at the station in front of Holiday Sports/Skagit Arms I don't know what grade is available though.

Up to $ 3.19 today, was as low as $ 2.26 this time last year.

Bozeman gas price are a monolith, same same valley wide and a few places that are 10 cents higher for no apparent reason. Big Sky is +.09.

With almost no Canadians coming across the line, Costco reg is $3.33 here. Hopefully my truck won't delaminate now.

    Chevron is $4

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

We rarely buy gas in Truckee. In Reno or Sacramento. Truckee is known for having the most expensive gas in the 48. Lots of BS reasons but it's price collusion. CA has expensive gas but Truckee is more expensive than the rest of the state for the most part.
