Jackson Hole Roll Call Winter 14/15

There's snow on the ground in the valley and yet no winter roll call hath been started. Imbred JONG to the rescue!!!

Maybe you've already skied. Telemark Bowl? Is the grass covered? Friday may be the day...

Anyways, cue assortment of random personal softcore Tetons stoke from last season...

Dawn patrol on Chiver's about this time last year:

What most of December looked like:

    Caleb (bcfreerider) skiing Edelweiss:

    Wa-pow! Barreled @ JHMR:

South Side soul shredding (quotient of soul lessened by presence of gopro):

    Targhee:

Some of the deeper runs from the South Side last winter:

    Backflips!

    JHMR this am:

And Teton shredding from people way gnalier than me (i.e. officially hardcore):

    Winter's here! Yew!!

North aspects above 9k had some snow left over from previous storms. I'll bet it's nice and faceted by now. Something to watch for during the early season. (possibly longer)

To confirm - yes, true statement. I took a hike up to the Breccia cliffs near Togwotee pass on Saturday the 8th. All North facing slopes at about 8k and above actually had about 2-4 inches of cover still, but it was faceted.

Had to cancel our trip. Flights were $1,800. There's 7 of us. Bummed but will trim the group and get there someday.

Never, ever have I ever received crap about pre/post - season access. Usually get plenty of warning about any closure/restrictions.

These guys in the photo are friends of mine, who rock this shit WAY more than I do. Two of them are ski patrol at our little local hill (KC). Awesome, awesome guys.

Definitely was hitting some rocks on the way down but there were definitely some smooth turns to be had. Gonna be some fun turns on mellow stuff this weekend! Hope it covers the sharks...

R3 to the ground on Twin slides this afternoon. Skier cut wind slab just below billboard and flushed out pretty good. Heads up, those wind exposed ridges are touchy and getting touchier... Everybody have an awesome and safe weekend!
    to ski another day
