I flew home to NJ expecting to find my Mom deceased and dealing with her funeral. That was Friday. She's been without nutrition or fluids for 6 days now. She's one tough Piney.
Did the last unsatisfied fat soccer mom you took to your mom's basement call you a fascist? -irul&ublo

Dogs. My dog. I dig dogs. Life would be empty without my dog.

Been looking for a belt for about a year... Wanted something really basic and well made. I was prepared to spend up to a couple of hundred dollars on it, but never found anything that seemed worth the money. Found this website and figured I couldn't go wrong for $75... Took about 2 weeks to be delivered... It blows the doors off any belt I've ever seen. I have a 30" waist and wear 32" pants. I ordered the 1.5"/.25"/35" and it fits perfectly. I can't seem to get a picture of it that is any better than the ones on the website... But it's outstanding, and will likely not just outlive me, but possibly my family's bloodline.

My hemlock decided it was time last night, and she opted to come down in the narrowest of spaces between my shed and my neighbors garage. Not a big tree, but would have messed some stuff up a little going the other way. What a thoughtful tree...rip.

I'm in Starbucks, and the 70+ yo woman in line in front of me doesn't root around in her purse for five dollars in coins, but pulls out an Android phone, and pays with the app. Right on tech savvy grandma!

At an invitational college swim meet over the weekend Katie Ledecky set a new record in the 1650 yard freestyle with a 15:03. That time was less than a second faster than her previous record in the event. There are lots of things impressive about this, but perhaps to put it into perspective the winner in the men's event at the same meet went 15:13.

Long haul 15 hours flights for under 300 bucks. And pulled pork with good slaw.
