Biggins, that is great news! Glad to hear it went so well. You will be back up and at it in no time!

Something from today to help get you through PT (and definitely something stronger to be delivered at a later date) EW in the Zone:

EAST COAST ROLL CALL #8 14/15 A NEW HOPE

Turns out the best possible outcome was what I had in store: no ligament repair necessary (PCL and FCL will just scar up), clean tibial plateau break break fixed easily with a plate and screws (robo-teacher lives!) and enough stability to remove the damn scaffolding from my leg. An 8 hour surgery and 3-4 day stay in the hospital turned into a 2 hour surgery and and not a single night in the house of pain. All things willing, I should be back on the bikes by late spring. YES!

So no pow for me today, but I feel like I got my life back a little bit. Sorry for the blog, but I thought I'd update my friends in here. Ski season may be over for me, but drinking season is back on!
Damn dude. I don't keep up with all the posts here, so what happened?

Sounds like things turned out for the best.

We seem to have knee and shoulder injury timing in common. It was 10 years ago we were discussing shoulders and now we're both out with knee injuries.

^^^Oh yeah- the labral tear. I turned into a short chute to enter some woods at Stowe, dove the nose of my board, ass over tea kettle, slid right through the chute and met up with a very surly tree. Blech. You?

North Creek Ski Bowl lift will spin on Friday for the first time. Trees should be prime.

Also Hickory skied well on Sat (a little thin as usual) but will be ALL IN Saturday after 12+ on Monday and maybe a few more. After party at HSC too.

Thanks guys. Lets do an Ascutney mtb mini in July sometime. I'll bring the Sip 'o Sunshine.

Great stoke too. Powbumps- you rip, and you rip old school. Do you do the Bear Mtn. Challenge? I'll gladly run the fanboy tailgate if you do.

Naw, BMC got lame for a couple years when POWcorp outlawed tailgating. They learned their lesson, however, and have restored the event to something closely resembling its glory years.

Hey mags, just in case you missed this video on the front page from a self-taught 16 year old named Andreya Zvonar, but it's probably going to be the east coast edit of the year:

I mean, how many people have possibly backflipped that first cliff under Bonaventure?

    That kid is hucking huge!
One critique, how can a video of all Jay Peak footage not have a single scene ripping powder in the glades?

Edit: Looks like there is one rail slide clip from Stowe.
Aim for the chopping block. If you aim for the wood, you will have nothing. Aim past the wood, aim through the wood.
