When will we see a return to the classic Morrison ski porn segment (TGR or MSP preferably)? It's cool what you've been doing for the past few years but we miss that kind of segment.

Hey Seth, big fan. Thanks for all the great things you do for everyone ESP the films you put out that help inspire us to go above and beyond. Do you have any pre season training advice to get ready for the abuse were about to take? Do the pros have beers and shots after an epic day too?

    Hi Seth,

Ive got full tilt soul sisters. Feet are weird so you may not have any insight but I figured I'd ask. I put surefoot semi custom foot beds in them. Boots are ultra responsive, love that, flex is prime....but I get painful cramps in the balls of my feet to the point where I'm unbuckling after every run...sometime I just go without the foot beds, way more comf but less control? Suggestions? Do you rock any sort of foot bed? I've talked to lots of die hard full tilt skiers that have strong opinions for and against footbeds with intuition liners. Only have about 40 days on the boots.

    Cheers

Seth, planning to come back to Cham this winter? If so, are there any lines you haven't skied before that you've particularly got your eye on this season?

2)"Check your local avalanche advisory report." In my opinion, it's true, Since we had already known that there were volcanic eruption in Japan on Sep,27, probably we can forecast there probably are earth's surface undulation on the other symmetric side in the following days (Sep 30 ~Oct 14).

    1. Thats a reason to go fast to stay ahead of the problems
    2. Paying attention to visual clues, social media posts from others in the area. Time in the areas, knowing the history.
    3. Experience, never enough information. Learn from the past.
    4. Train for it. Trampolines, balance practice. You just don't go out there and do it without training for it.

Every year, all the time. When you goto cats ops, heli ops, or any guided deal you have to this kinda stuff. Always check your beacon with anothers to make sure it sends and receives. More these past years we are doing our own adventures. Take classes CPR, WIlderness Rescue. TGR always does this kinda training in the late Fall early winter. You can do this with your friends on the ski area when its less than ideal conditions, set up and avalanche scenario, etc.

Take it easy on the first lift up on powder days. People get so out of control, fighting in lift lines etc. I now show up 5 to 10 minutes after the lifts open to let the rush go, find most time I'll get up there and zones are still closed and your waiting anyway. Respect for others has gone out the window on those days. Stay low key.

Every year I go I ski new lines, nothing is like I have to ski that. Every month is different what you can ski there. So I have been during different times skiing different things the plans always changes, you make a plan to do something, then your going somewhere else because of the conditions. I have great friends to ski, mostly Nathan Wallace.

Sounds like you need to grind down the foot beds to make them thinner, hopefully you did the original mold with the foot beds. Some people just go liner, I use a stock foot bed from a old pair of Raichles. Sometimes when I get "hot foot" spring or summer time, I take the foot beds out and go liner. These boots are for narrow feet, sorry about the feet trouble.

Preseason? When there is no snow its preseason so I'm always working hard, cycling, hiking, stacking wood. The Rocky workout. If all you have is the gym, make it fun change it up.

Its hard these days, the last years with a full season with a major film crew I never lined up with the conditions, or mentally wasn't willing due to lack of powder. It would be ideal, but its not as much fun as what I have been doing these past years. Depends on the trip, when I goto Chamonix that goes down for sure, the day is usually mind blowing, so you celebrate.

Funny enough, I went to the rampage the 2nd year they did it, and guys thought I was there in case a spot opened, its not like skiing by any means. I used to DH but CO trails are not like Whistler.

We started without the production team, so it was normal filming. Then when the production team showed up it got crazy. Most of the guys were mountain people, cameramen. The demands for the script were silly. I told them just let us ride and some of it will just happen naturally. I got caught in a avalanche second turn in one day and got taken to the bottom, thought I was gonna get buried, but knew Tom Burt was up top as a fell down the mountain in the dark avalanche. It stopped I climbed out from under the snow. Found my gear. That night the rest acted like this was everyday thing and the producer was bummed the snowboarder (Shin Campos) wasn't in the Avalanche since thats how the guy dies in the movie. Lets you know your just a piece of meat.

Seth- I want to know more about the "out of body double front in the Koot's."

You never do front flips then suddenly you pull up to some gnar 100+ft air and decide that this is the one for a double fronty.

Please give us some insight as to how this came to be.

    Thx

Just picked up a pair of 2014 Annex 118's. 181s. They look sick and I am frothing to get them out. Mounting recommendations? Traditional mark or +? Planning on riding them for deep resort or Heli days. It will not be my primary touring setup.
    Thanks!
