    I have a set of good condition Salomon Equipe 997 metal bindings. These are made of fucking metal and are 14 DIN strong. 90mm brakes that you can bend for your fatty girls.

    Can these be mounted without the plate thingy?

    I've got a similar pair. Pretty sure you can mount without the plate thingy.

    Can absolutely mount w/o plate. There's a thread somewhere on DR9 to 997 conversion.

    ^^ IIRC, mounting without the plate requires some shorter screws or for you to grind the original ones to length.

    Swap to the Sth16 (not Sth12/14 or Sth2 16) wide AFD. Better platform and solves the problem. About a $20-30 upgrade and well worth it.

    Just to clarify, these would work with an STH 14 driver AFD? My buddy stripped the height adjustment on his STH 14s and is looking to replace just the toe piece. Would these work for that?
