Funi-Sibo-Gold Coast only, Shirley and Granite Chief if we're lucky.

The mtb season has already started (or never really ended...)

That was my reaction. By then every trail will be like skiing your way back out of Sun Bowl. I think they're desperate to finish out all of the team seasons so they don't have to give back partial refunds. Just guessing.

On the MTB note, anyone else noticing a ridiculous amount of bugs and mosquitoes so far this year? Probably due to the warm winter making ideal breeding conditions. (north bay, not Tahoe... yet)

Bugs, check. The gnat swarms are out in the yay area, and skeeters bit me at KW. Happy there's still snow.

The good news/silver lining, so to speak: the moist season will most likely be short-lived, so the bug season will be as well.

Willing to trade 1 squaw alpine lift ticket for a 650b tire. Preferably new or still with the nipples. Tubeless compatible but I won't be picky.

Any snow at all at Carson Pass?

Was thinking of touring just for exercise.
Though, maybe I should just bring the bike

South of 88 coverage should be fine out to RT and down to 8400 or so. Nights have been cold. Should be good.

I am looking at official and unofficial sites that say Alpine open until 4/5.

Didn't drop much below 40 at 7800' last night. There was some overnight freeze. But it thawed quickly. Early spring starts. It does look like there is a fair amount of snow on the approach to the lake, as viewed from the chair.

Surprised to hear Tamarack was good, but pleasantly surprised. Maybe heading there tomorrow.

    Thanks for the report

Props to the'trollers for keeping the exit from The Drain alive by shoveling snow to make a path out next to the stream

BV has Kuma, Koala (for now), Cub, Super Cub. Limited but fun.

I will be there Tuesday with young Owen.
