does russell crowe suck or not?

i don't watch nearly the volume of movies i used to but he seems to be consistently entertaining if not compelling.

Have you seen A Beautiful Mind?

I think most people type cast him but I think this movie shows that he has range in addition to being entertaining.

I prefer him to Mel Gibson by a lot.

I was always surprised after LA Confidential that it was Crowe who became the big star instead of Pearce. Both were great in that movie, though.

Have you seen "The Proposition" with Pearce, and supporting cast, John Hurt, Ray Winston, Emily Watson and Danny Huston among others? Fucking fantastic but very dark movie. The whole movie has this tension to it from the start.

Yeah - that movie is definitely dark. I liked it. Underrated.

    FTW...

Yeah, he's pretty good. Gladiator, Master and Commander, A Beautiful Mind...

He's prolly a mega douche in life, but a darn good actor by todays standards.

Russel Crowe in Noah before he chopped his hair = dead ringer for Jer. Same thing with Master And Commander (back when that came out I didn't do any kind of facial hair). I guess he's my doppelgänger or something.

The Proposition is the best western ever.

We all have our stinkers. Mine have mostly been in the bathroom where evidence is easily flushed.
