Coronal Mass Ejection? Yeah, me too. Although far less likely, something about Gamma Ray Bursts also make me uneasy.

Gamma ray burst we're all dead in short order, so NBD, really. But a big CME destroying almost every electrical circuit on Earth and every satellite in orbit? Now shit's getting real.

In my mind, the archaeological discovery of ancient populated areas being destroyed by something like a cosmic airburst is random. They likely had research questions at the start of their excavations.

There was another settlement in the middle east that likely was destroyed the same way 13,000 years ago. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-020-60867-w

And then there's Tunguska 100 years ago.

Yeah, that why I said "two" cities. We can be pretty confident that a Tunguska-scale event has not happened since Tunguska, even if it happened in the middle of the Pacific. We've been listening for atmospheric nuclear explosions since the dawn of the nuclear age, and megaton-scale blasts are easy to hear.

    Wow, great link.

That video about Earthís 2nd moon was fascinating. Complete nerd, but the guy had great graphics and made it very easy to understand. Blown away by this link.

Iím also very interested in the period, but this article is getting ripped apart by the archaeological and earth science communities.

I'm glad this woman is no longer suicidal, happy even, but this is basically the premise of The Terminal Man. Hopefully MDMA/psilocybin-assisted therapy gets approved soon because it seems to get similar results without having to implant a device inside the patient's skull.

There is no evidence that prehistoric norsemen ever skied switch. Skiing backwards is yet one more way in which modern humankind has lost its connection to the natural world. Are you aware of any species that move backwards as a main form of locomotion? Didn't think so. There are crabs that reportedly move sideways, but that's it.

I came across it because I follow Mark Boslough. His threads had most of the hard science. Heís admittedly not an archeologist. This explains a lot of the background:

Cool info about one of Saturnís moons. Discovered in 1671 by Cassini himself, and we still donít understand what the fuck is going on.
