So you just assume that the homeless will eat them, they'll eat anything...I know what you thought. They don't have homes, they don't have jobs, what do they need the top of a muffin for? They're lucky to get the stumps.
Better meme: dd in a home depot parking lot or dascunt in a whole foods dumpster?

I need you to read this thread here on TGR, then report back a confirmation of symptoms of resentment…do you even have a job?
http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/s...-Bullshit-jobs
You provide stoke Shadam what else do you contribute? Does your resentment towards my voice show that you live in a fucked up country ( canada) and does that fact hinder your ability to have empathy for wastefulness and greed? Satanist?
Unfortunate example that you showed by the way, as again, people are stupid and do not think ahead enough to make more humanistic choices for waste and leftovers.
Waiting for James Pio to chime in to tell me my lack of justice for the common fuck. socialism for the few.Terje was right.

Bullshit. Worked at a Whole Foods for almost two years and never saw anything like this. Anything non-perishable (canned goods, etc) went straight to the Utah Food Bank, along with lots of stuff that was straight up donated. Perishable items were always pulled when spoiled or if they wouldn't sell based on appearance. In the case of the latter, it went to my department (Meat and Seafood) to make oven-ready items or went to Prepared Foods to be used in the salad bar or hot bar. All spoiled produce went into compost. Everything that could be recycled was. We even had routine visits from "Green Mission" employees who would sift through each departments garbage and recycle anything that was lazily thrown in the wrong can. Not to mention multiple charities throughout the year that benefited the Utah Food Bank, local homeless shelters, local schools, and employees who had a run of bad luck (to help with medical bills, etc). And all this coming from a company that pays considerably more per hour for the same job as it's competitors, overs fantastic medical benefits to both part-time and full-time employees, and 20% discount on everything (up to 30% if you pass a health screening).
There was one time the freezers went out and we had to throw a lot of perishable food away. It happened at 10:00 at night, so not much we could do there. You bet your ass every employee went home with at least a shopping cart full of free food that night, though.
Yeah food gets wasted, but that's the grocery business. Having worked in multiple grocery stores, I guarantee Whole Foods does more to prevent waste more than just about anybody.
Basically, you are full of shit (not like I needed to point that out). All I know is that I don't know nothin'... and that's fine.

Oh shit, it's on.
Some places have those "warehouse sales" where they pull out all the crap that didn't sell, other random stuff in weird sizes and whatnot and is basically sold at a loss.
I would imagine if it doesn't sell after that it either goes to the landfill or on the boat with the Broncos championship jerseys.
