    I put some dirt in the toe and heel inserts, then I used a dental brush to clean it, worked well.
    not sure about ice or snow though.
    I've got to try the golf tee.

    plus if you walk on dirt, the rear inserts get really clogged up, and it takes forever to clean them.

    screw them boots down tight and you never have to clean.
