I've used SuperTaco a couple of times. They are just Ebooks but if you like the book format they work well. Easier to use as phone screens get bigger.
Last year I got a copy of Tough Schist for renewing with CragVT. I already had a paper copy so they gave me the electronic copy on the app Rakkup. I like it. It has similar info as the paper copy but the format is different. You start with the map view and drill down to various areas. Quality depends on how the book was originally and how its translated into the app. They have a few demo sections to give you a feel for it.

Saw two guys sending the Zion Curtain while out on a run this afternoon. Tough to see if you don't know where to look. Leader is just getting to the top of the flake, belayer is visible on the ledge.

Watched it last night. Was totally gripped for the footage of the solo. You've gotta see it on the big screen. So worth it.

Agreed. We saw it opening night at the Mayan in Denver, absolutely mind blowing. Even knowing the outcome, it's a sweaty palms, heart pounding ride. Well done Jimmy, Elizabeth, Alex, et al. Definitely a big screen event, although will definitely watch it again when it makes its way to the internetz.

Great movie, and of course great climb, but hat's off to Jimmy Chin and crew for some great footage.
I'll admit I got a little bored with the reality show drama, but being "real reality" it was pretty cool to see his thought process through the whole project.
I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...iscariot

i built a climbing wall for the kid a ways back at our previous house...basically with the idea of it as kid indoor entertainment. The boy was about 7 then and showed little interest. We moved and sold the wall along with the property, but I kept the holds thinking maybe I'd do something at the new house. After just storing them for years, I sold the holds to detrusor last summer (i think? or was it a whole year now?...anyway...).
The kid, now 13, has now been going to the bouldering gym for the last 6mos and now wants to build a wall in the garage...he's spent the whole day today (and last night) researching holds and the diy info and drawing layouts of how it could work. He's been working on his arguments for why we should have one even tho we have two climbing gyms within a few miles of us.

Nah just get a beast maker + app and say he can go bouldering in the gym. (only get the thing if he knows what he's doing... Not for beginners..)

Padding the landing was the main difficulty.

Thanks. I also enjoy the trad climbing pics everyone posts.
Here is a another one. A fun 7a (v5?) on the alpine meadow. A bit nicer setting than John Rambo.
