Kind of OT but I just read that Alex Puccio tore her ACL and partially tore her MCL, that sucks! Sounds like it happened when in isolation for a comp at Vail? I guess she was warming up and fell or something? I don't know. Here's to a speedy recovery, which as we all know isn't easy with these injuries. I like this video of Alex, she seems pretty cool.

Sad news for Alex, she'd been pushing the training really hard from what I've heard.

    Now it's Ashima-time!

I suspect it just looks like it's behind her leg because of the angle of the pic.

led a shitload of climbs in the gunks this week, my head game is coming back around! Even when swarmed by killer beez on attack (ok, honey bees).

Also of note: decided to walk off a bunch of p1's rather than rap for old times sake. Literally!

that building climb looks airy-feeling... bet that's good for the lead head

Maple is enjoyable with this cooler weather, ducked a few storms but had mostly clear skies. Foot summit selfie.

I'm racking up to finish Bonnie's Roof after doing everything to the crux and this guy comes up to me and asks to climb through. What? "I'm just going to free solo the pitch if that's alright."

    ummm, go ahead.

    Dang.

Bonnie's is the real deal. Proud lead, much less a solo.

I need to go back to the Gunks now that I don't suck at climbing. I was just barely tickling 5.8s when I left, I'd love to go back now and jump on some of the classic 9s and low 10s.
