Nice Lee, thanks for starting this.
How's that hustler? Is it 'DW' bike like their others? There's nothing better than sliding down snow, and flying through the air

Opening day means new berms. Berms berms berms --- mmmmm. It also meant a few lines as everyone in this town or in the Sea to Sky corridor apparently took the day off in anticipation of the weekend's crowds.
But it was sunny; it was good to see the same old faces, and to ride the same trails.
Of course all the trail opening information is at the WBP website. 80% of the lower mountain trails are open.
Have at it and have a season that doesn't include a visit to the Clinic!
Berms, berms, berms
Dry trails!
From top left to bottom right: (1) The Goldstones are a fixture; (2) Lineups at CS weren't bad at all; (3) Conga line on Heart of Darkness; (4) Tom Radke starting another season of instruction
Watch out on the trails for obstacles

Been outta town for a couple weeks, riding on the island has been good but can't wait to get back sounds like lots of stuff is clear
On another note I am glad to be out of town this weekend, vibes to everyone working in the village tonight!

Monday in the park was super fun, we were planning on skiing a token run or two but didn't want to get off the bikes. Weather was a bit cool but no rain and even a bit of sun toward the end of the day. The blue trails I was riding were all in good shape and dry (although I thought the brake bumps would be buffed out each season?).
After a few months of learning the ropes on Fromme, the blues in the park are feeling easy to do at speed. I love the spacing and pace of the jumps on Crank it Up. Looking forward to checking out some of the harder stuff as the summer goes on.
Bear family under Fitz who later moved down to where Heart of Darkness crosses the lift line, zero fucks given about bikers:

Pretty brutal huh? Bikes get stolen... bikes appear for sale on Pinkbike hours later, all for sale from the same user. No idea how people get away with that.
In other news.... biking is pretty fucking sweet.
Some old shots I just got sent from last fall, and some new shots from last weekend.
I am a puddle terrorist, and love every minute of it. Photo - Stephen McVeigh Images.
And another from learning to bike in snow, oh fail.
Last weekend:
I'm shooting the Crud2Mud race tomorrow for WB - hopefully see some mags in there racing! One of my fav events to shoot. I did it solo my first year and ohhhh buddy, pain cave.

Nice pics Nads.
Not Whistler, but has anyone checked out the Coast Gravity Bike Park in Sechelt yet? They are doing truck shuttles this season and hopefully installing a lift for next year.

The bike park's riding great. Literally deserted today like its been the past week
Fanny pack fashion - jersey worn Gretzky style for bonus points
Trail fairies hard at work
Love weekday riding - no-one's around
Peter Oprsal of bikepirate checking out the A-line squirrel catcher
They made the GLC rockdrop a rolldown for you! Seriously though its now setup as a big sender. The other GLC drop is now a perfect floater too
