He said something similar upthread here. Of course the word "slab" has specific avy meanings, likely not his intent. As I try to picture what he describes I think it might well not meet the definition of an avy, or at most be some variant of a small point release. The big as in potentially deadly problem here obviously is his certainty that a slope that steep can ever have "zero avalanche danger ... Zero. None" as long as there's snow on it. Maybe the risk truly was trivial that day but I haven't seen him describe how he arrived at that conclusion. He hasn't even said if he read the MWAC bulletin and extrapolated from that for King Ravine, much less whether he did any classic stability assessments e.g. firing off a few rounds at likely trigger points.

I heard that rt3 didn't get into nursing school so he's going to move to colorado become a pot head and the most bad ass back country skiier in the state

he should be warned ahead of time, I have run into the chupacabra a few times back country skiing he is going to need to upgrade to a level 12 holster, a .45, and only silver bullets will pierce the skin of this creature

You might have passed this crucial information on a little sooner when it could have helped RT3. Poor little guy never had a chance. Fucking goat suckers.

TR is correct. The accident reports were sent to the appropriate news agencies, the results of which can be seen on the first page. This is the report of the trip he's been on ever since.

Somehow missed this gem on the first pass.

I thought the din was 16. Sounds like they were screwed straight to the skis.
