    Wow.

They did actually find a replacement as unfunny as Letterman.

Not by me [sleeping] other than the occasional "Top 10" when I awake from a "nap".
    It's not $$$$$$ but ratings which = $$$$$$ = staying power.
But alas I may be too old to get Colbert who in character I have always found annoyingly unwatchable.

Good move. And, it's not about watching late night anymore, even on the DVR. Kimmel and Fallon are doing a lot on YouTube. I don't watch that shit anymore, though. Except for Jon Stewart.

I would really really miss the Colbert Report. If you don't think he's funny, it's because you're a terrible person and you hate America.
    No longer stuck.

Colbert is funny, but I think what makes him funny is that his 'character' is supposed to be a dumbass republitard.

What will happen when he has to drop the act? I guess he can still be funny, but we'll have to see.

He will be doing the show without the "Colbert report" character. Which I think is sort of hard to imagine for people that have watched him for the last 10 years or more. It will be interesting to see what thats like and if its good or not.

Have to hope for different sort of late night show with Colbert. I just can't see his demographic sticking around when he's interviewing blonde-sitcom-actress number 125 about her new movie. That shit gets old fast.

Colbert is funny and quick witted every time I have seen him out of the ( repor) character. He will do great. The only downside is I will miss his old show.

It might have been kind of fun to watch a dumbass republitard crash and burn on late night. O'Reilly prolly would have gone nuts on the set crew before an actual guest, and Hannity might just concoct a counter Colbert libtard pundit character to attract guests. No, what I'd have liked to see would be a train wreck more on the order of Glenn Beck, maybe with Palin as MC, or vice versa; or maybe Palin and Bachmann in some hot scissors action?

Oh yeah, Dennis Miller; he's like the one conservatard (unfunny) comedian, amirite?

I think Colbert will do well; he's a good interviewer, and pretty good at making a laughing stock of guests he maybe doesn't care for, without letting on (much). He's also kind of a goof, akin to a Letterman style goof, and in that respect, I think the choice makes perfect sense.

I look forward to watching on DVR before my 9:00pm bedtime.

Let's play "who will his band be".

He has shown good taste and surprised many with his guests. My vote goes for Brian Eno as leader of a constantly evolving and morphing band unit.

That's cute, but the little guy lives in my neighborhood, and is quite the family man. He has seen his time, though. Lucky man. Must also be rich as shit. Much richer than most session guys from the 70s could even dream of being.

That's a strange statement. How so?
