+1. I still ski this one a lot. Never even considered selling it.

Pretty sure my entire quiver is timeless (or old).
I just love the way they ski!
What I've skied so far this season:
14 days 184 MX98
1 day 184 Monster 108
10 days 191 Lhasa Pow (7 hybrid; 3 pure)
4 days Kusala Pow (3 186; 1 189)

Elan Olympus mons, a slightly softer Katana. 110 underfoot, 2 sheets of metal, 26m turning readius. Timeless resort charger. Makes crud feel like powder. Powers through everything, has enough float and can hold a carve arc from pow to corduroy. I often entertain the idea to mount them with tectons or shifts to rip skied out backcountry.

They’re still good for icy days in the east. Much more versatile than a race ski. The 194 renewed my love of Alpine skiing when I was a tele* guy 20 years ago.

I still regularly ski these. They have their limitations but they are so good in so many conditions they still regularly get the nod.
And I don't know what kind of magic they used for the topsheets but they still look almost new despite being over a decade old.

Timeless Skis - What is the oldest ski in your quiver that you still use?
This is the 2012 192 BD Zealot for me. Still my go to for heavy or funky soft snow. Good in pow, great in crud, smash bumps and rip groomers too. Just plain damp and haul ass.
They aren’t worth anything so no point in selling. I grab them 10 days a year or so and still one of my favorite skis that I’ve had a hard time finding a replacement for.

I would say sploders and XXL's but they really only go out for comparisons to others now.
Guess my revered Lotus 120s with bamboo sidewalls will be skied until they fall apart...

Love mine! They've had a lotta use this season. Actually just dropped 'em off for their first tune yesterday. I'm always looking for a fresher pair. They ski a lot like the similar vintage Chetlers, they came outta the same factory and given the almost identical dimensions, I wouldn't be surprised if they came outta the same mold too.

Many, so many good old skis in this thread…
BC: I had the OG (shitty sidewall) Metal Katana 183 and then the 3rd year Metal Katana 184. Such a great Alta ski. Had to mount forward 2-4 cm for my preferences.
F*ck You Cat: I used the Pocket Rockets as a daily driver for Mt Hood back in 2003-2005. Only ski I’ve ever actually broken in half, that foam core was not super durable after repeated backseat cornice landings. But revolutionary for me at the time, fat and playful at a HUGE 90mm underfoot.
KillerMonkey and Asmiley: at present, the Rossi Sickle is the oldest ski in my bloated quiver. Took me about 10 days to adjust to the mount point coming off the Metal Katana circa 2008ish. But after that it was all I skied inbounds at AltaBird for 4+ seasons.
Anyone looking for a pair of 186 Sickles with STH 14s, PM me. I let them go for cheap, they need a good home where they get used.

I have 2 pair in great shape
The DPS production manger I met told me he has these forms at the factory that say " lotus 120" on them, being a young guy he seemed to have no idea this was a cult classic
I told him " build it and they will come " but I think you got a better chance of seeing a unicorn on skis
when I say the oldest ski you still use that rocks ^^ these would be it, but I seen a picture of some 50 yr kniessals really ?
I used to see some really old guys skiing on some really old skis at Red mountain just out of Rossland in the west kootneys cuz that was one of the first lifts in BC, some locals told me the lift was built from materials they pirated from Cominco and everyone was in on itLee Lau - xxx-er is the laziest Asian canuck I know

On firmer or corn days, I still whip out the black snow rangers I have that are in cherry shape. Those have to be vintage 1997 or so.
I skied the blue/yellow ones bitd as well. That was a cornerstone ski for me, departing the old race style dynamic, volkl p20 gs or sl boards and moving into fats.Merde De Glace On the Freak When Ski

My 2012/2013 bear claw billy goats get skied every season.
Same with my 13/14 Brahmas
I take 09/10 Movement Sluffs out of the closet occasionally to remember what camber is.
