^^^ That's not necessarily true. Lot's of hardcore early AM drinkers use the 90 proof peppermint schnapps for that very purpose. That said, the clear choice among my regular (hands quivering as they pay for their airplane minis in change first thing in the morning) drinkers is the flavored Smirnoff vodka.

    The house white=stoli-O

but Tito's lives in my home cabinet and a Smirnoff for company.

For the high end, belvedere or grey goose, but I rarely get those for the house (and when I do they aren't around long). Were more of a beer and whiskey family. Tequila in the summer/

You don't have to be a hopeless alcoholic to want to have a drink and not smell like a distillery.

    Just saying.

    agreed.

Finlandia has been my go to for salty dogs/greyhounds, but esp. with both salt and grapefruit, the vodka just adds booze, and not as much flavor, IMO.

Yeah, but the real hard core have figured out how to function, somewhat, and part of that is not to smell. It's a lot harder to do these days with no cigarette smoking everywhere, especially at work. That smoke covered up a lot.

No one is down with Crop??

They make an organic vodka, infused with cucumber that is killer. Stands well on its own, and mixes phenomenally. $22/750 ml.

For bulk, non-flavored, I go with a handle of either Tito, or Svedka. Both solid.

Been drinking their vodka since its my neighborhood distillery. Less impressed with their other offerings. I stop in occasionally on free samples days.

I definitely think Tito's is overrated, but again, it's taste related, soooo yeah. Also, when they introduced it here in TN they sold a handle for like $26 or something and now it's $40.

I've made the switch to Luksusova. Thanks for that guys. It's only $23 /handle out here.

I get a 1.75 of Titos for $27 here in MN. The best price I can get on Goose is $42. For a martini Titos can't be beat for the price.

Soplica possibly? I know they make a handful of flavored vodkas. Not too common here in the US, but they do distribute it here apparently.

Ketel One seems to do the trick for me. Belvedere is okay too. I once had a Canadian vodka, which I can't recall the name of. That was an outstanding vodka. But alas, a New Year's eve celebration left me wanting in the memory dept. the next day...

Whiskey - but seriously Tito's for taste and a benefit is that it is cheap. Did a blind taste test and picked it over GG and Kettle One. Love me a dirty martini sometimes.
