I was lucky enough to work with him for a few days last winter. Never got to know him very well, but his kindness and passion for skiing resonated with me. RIP.

I worked and skied with Peiter in 2008-09. We worked together at Ski and See in Sandy. He lived up Mt Aire Canyon road that season with his gf and about five dogs. His rental house was about 1-1.5 miles inside the gated road. during the winter the road is unplowed and you had to snowmobile up to his house. It was really a cool spot, so near to SLC yet kinda remote and with an isolated feel to it... I remember driving one of his snowmobiles up at night with his three dogs chasing us and barking the whole way up the trail...
He was a strong skier that would throw flips off his favorite little bump at Alta when the conditions were right...
Good stuff Peiter.

Friend from the U lives in upper Mt.Aire. Let him know as we're all same age as Peiter and turns out they were friendly. Buddy is shaken up:
"He was a ripper for sure ... wow, horrible. so sad"

RIP.
Didn't know him, but the News and Guide had a good article about him this morning. Was a solid guy. Had a lot of friends.Ski Shop - Basement of the Hostel
Do not tell fish stories where the people know you; but particularly, don't tell them where they know the fish.

I was skiing at JH that day. Visibility was pretty bad at times. Wonder if that was a factor? Heard some people talking about him during lunch, they were pretty shook up. RIP
