OSX's at full 780mm, but last set of bars were OSX cut to 760 and I think I'll be trimming the current ones down to 760mm.

One thing with wide bars that bugs me is seeing pictures of people with full width bars and then 30mm+ of grip sitting out past their hand at the end. Just trim them to where you end up gripping the bar.

^^^Yeah it is. I'm short at 5'7" , running 785s and my hands are hanging off the sides a bit at all times.

Yeah, whatever feels right for you is what you should ride for sure. I cringe when I hear of people cutting down bars though, especially nice carbon ones. I always feel like telling them to give me the wide ones and offering to buy them narrower ones of their choice. At least nice wide bars are in abundance now though, even if they don't come stock on most bikes. My new bike comes with 760s and I'm not sure I'd be able to live with that.

6'2". Running ProTaper carbon 780 1/2" rise on my XL enduro 29. Widest bars I've used by far, but they were easy to get used to. Not sure I'd want to go any narrower on this kinda bike.

Was just thinking that, I think I have the 762 positioned with more upsweep than my 745. Will try it.

A good way to get an idea of how wide your bars can/should be is how far you can spread your arms and do a comfortable pushup. Sure some will like a little wider or narrower but it's a good starting point.

When I worked in the shop here in town and the little groms would want to buy 800mm bars we'd make them do push-ups at 800 to prove a point.

Another vote for RF atlas bars currently at full width. I think they're a little wide on the AM bike but perfect on my big bike.
