Hmm...it’s 6:20pm and googles shows I 70 closed. But only an extra hour 30 extra to Dillon. Wonder how that works?

You see, I-70 is unique in that it is an equal opportunity fucker. Fuck those people who say leave at 5 a.m., I'll drive up Friday night.

    Ha ha ha ha.

    OFFICIAL I70 BITCH THREAD....

Came back to Denver from WP and traffic going the other way was fucked over the pass. Like dead stopped traffic from the MJ entrance all the way up and over to the second switchback on the east side.

Heard my friend left Denver at 3:15 and still hasn’t reached Bakersville.

Is this the weekend I70 implodes?

Took me 5 hours Steamboat to Golden today via Berthoud Pass.

Made it over Rabbit Ears about two hours before it closed. Heard it got really bad after I made it through.

Granby to Tabernash was some of the most intense driving that I've done in years. It was dumping snow and blowing hard. There was maybe 15 feet of visibility.

People are posting on cdot’s twitter that it’s taking 5+ hours from Denver to the tunnel. Fuck that.

    OFFICIAL I70 BITCH THREAD....

My friend STILL isn’t at Copper and he left with his family at 3:15.
In that time, I skied till 4 at Winter Park, drove back to Denver (slow over Berthoud but manageable), showered, dropped my kid at a sleepover, went to dinner, had drinks and came home.

Amazing that one could have driven to Taos easily or been over halfway to SLC or Jackson. But I’m sure I80 is super fucked too.

6.5 hours Boulder to Avon and we left at 2. I especially liked the trucker putting her chains on in literally the middle of the highway where she got stuck (traffic went around on both sides) and the gas truck doing a lateral move on the eastbound approach to the tunnel. Also, did anyone else see that snowboarder in all his gear, carrying his board and walking East in the westbound breakdown lane around 6pm? Was he planning to ride back to Denver? It was bad enough that I wouldn’t blame him...

Stop telling people that it is possible to get to Winter Park.

If anyone asks, Berthoud Pass has no guard rails and it has a population explosion of Siberian tigers that regularly eat stranded motorists.
