ETA: CDOT was supposed to remove the trailer today. I believe the load was an amazon warehouse transfer. Not sure why amazon didn’t have to arrange removal, but possibly sub-contracted with a smaller operator with shallow pockets.

Indeed. That's why they list the closure as starting in Rifle on the west side because it is the last best place for big semi's to detour. Otherwise they show up in Glenwood and instead of turning around and detouring back through Rifle some of them will say fuck it and try to head over Indy Pass. There are currently a bunch of them pulled over by the Aspen Airport as I type this.

Thinking about going to Red Lodge, MT and driving Beartooth Pass Hwy over/down in to Wyoming and Yellowstone to Jackson; back to CO.
