OFFICIAL I70 BITCH THREAD....
Drove over VP last night at about 9pm and it was a total clusterfuck... semis stalled everywhere and cars going 10mph, obviously with shitty tires and no idea how to drive. Luckily there weren’t many people on the road or it would have been an Epikonic disaster.

When are we going to get California traction laws?

When someone puts their hazards on what the F is that supposed to mean? “I just shat myself and think that I might die because my rental car has shitty 2wd and bald tires”. Or is it “Look at me I’m in front and you should all drive the same speed and follow me as I block the left lane because anything faster would be unsafe”? Either way, make sure that you refuse to pass semis and snowplows but drive next to them for miles on end.
Fuckin idiots. Welcome to winterLast edited by ULLRismyco-pilot; 10-21-2019 at 07:57 PM.

^^^^ haha yep, saw a few Sprinter vans doing that over Vail Pass and near the Tunnel this afternoon. Fucking morons.
As always, what is the point of a traction law posting without some kind of enforcement?

Maybe they could just mean "it's fucking hazardous out". Makes it easier to see car in low-vis situations. Live with it.
You've got some anger problems if that sets you off.

Don't worry, the awd van with snows is always in the right lane cause it's slow AF.
And because the right lane is the passing lane on I70 anytime there's traffic. Everyone knows that.

Can't ever get it to work in a browser, but always in mobile.
It's like a never ending nail biter movie from now until April:

As of this moment, you folks above can get your flasher porn.
Figured it out. If you paste it as a stream into VLC it fires up the action.Last edited by MakersTeleMark; 10-21-2019 at 09:23 PM.

yeah the flashers is a new thing just started a couple years ago
what does it mean?
I've got my flashers on I can do whatever I want? Or is it a symbol for being an idiot
alot of people should just not be driving
especially the rental suv the other morning who bounced off the median a few times in frisco theres a vacation that didn't end well

Saw one in the ditch by the distillery on airport yesterday. How did you get in there? Shoulda used your flashers.
The flashers are ok if you are doing what the trucks with chains are doing. Going slow in the right lane trying your best not to crash. Not ok if you are leading a funeral procession of 100 cars in the left lane, riding in the plow driver’s blind spot, getting blasted with gravel and mag chloride.

This is interesting, some of our local rental car companies are actually putting snow tires on their rentals. Didn't know this. I rented a Chevy Tahoe from one of them last winter and the tires were bald AF. Still, good on them for at least trying. A lot of the cars I see driving 20 mph with their hazards on are sporting red tags.

Tomorrow’s commute in Denver metro should be like bumper cars. The roads are super icy with snow coming down on top. Clusterfuck written all over it.

Treacherous commute over VP this morning. Looking good for some turns up there. 8” in the lot at the welcome center. Roads were slicker than snot. Lots of hazard lights on this am.

Spent a few weeks in CO recently.
One observation I had is that most CO drivers seem to think the throttle has two positions. Closed and full wide open.
Like you are walking on a residential street and here comes Suzy in the minivan with it just fucking floored.
I thought I had it bad with the right lane is the passing lane situation, but holy shit, you guys are not kidding.
