I like the when lane closure signs remain up, even after the lane has reopened.

today has been great I had to work
ran into this retired drunk dentist who told me the skiing was really great today, I believe him, he lives with his kids, bro brahs have no age, they even let him have a dog, some people get all the perks
saw a pretty rental sedan being hauled into trailerthorne, the trunk was in the backseat and the right front corner was done in, all freshly minted
fucking east coast misery here, grey, humid, and rainy/snowy wet typical late april
I had to drive around all day and traffic sucked balls it was like the front range, people suck at skiing and driving
and anyone who was considering getting the colorado license plate SENDYAF well, someone already has it
this place rocks end of blog

Hey now. That happens in the fall and winter too. They’ll probably find a reason to close it on Saturday morning and Sunday evening a few times this summer too.

    Vail Pass westbound. Fucked.
Down to 1 lane due to emergency road work. Probably the near the spot I hit a pothole couple nights ago. Thought for sure I had a blowout, but just a dinged rim.

I drove through that shit today. Thing is, I swear that I saw that hole developing on Tuesday, but they noticed it and decided to fix it on a Saturday.

True enough. But when it gets wetter it just seems to exacerbate the situation. Maybe catches the passer-throughs a bit more off guard because they are coming from a warmer climate and the calendar doesn't make them think of winter right now? I just don't know. I have just come into contact with people that are just a bit befuddled that they can't continue on their merry way and that there is no telling exactly when they might be able to do so. I feel bad for some (trying to catch a flight, etc)...not all.

Yesterday night driving home from Echo I saw car after car on Westbound I70 between Morrison and the top of that hill pulled over with hazards on, or just stuck in the middle of the road. Guessing most were two-wheel drive with no snow tires. It was just ridiculous.

Just got back to CO after 1.5 years in Brooklyn (which is actually my hometown) for a job that required a lot of driving in and out of the city.

    You are 100% correct.

All the things that annoy you/me about I70: multiply by 100 and you have NYC driving. Holy Fucking Shit. Just retarded.

Workers were not on the road necessarily.. they are replacing the rockfall fence
