It is plowed but not at night. If the question is, are there mountains proximate to the trough road with snow on them, then the answer is yes. Touring? That means different things to different people. Keep in mind that the river corridor is the lowest point in elevation in the entire county. Personally, I'm a high elevation trailhead guy.

I don't Facebook but if you look around, I think the scene is well documented. I believe the game is, "It takes less resources to block the road that is does to spend all night getting your dumb ass out of the ditch. "

Legit avy/control just prior to abasin or this a measure prevent backup near loveland i70 merge?
Yesterday afternoon Google showed 285 northbound as closed from Antero Junction until past Kenosha. CDOT showed it open. Turns out, it was open.
I'd generally believe the roadside signage first, followed by cotrip.org, then everything else.

At the risk of being labeled a heretic, I drove from Denver to and from Copper today at the posted speed or better!! Enjoyed a fun blue bird day for my first visit to Copper. That place must be a blast on a powder day, if I70 will let you get there! Now we've come full circle and are back in track. As you were.

Let's honor a giant leap in eliminating segregation by sitting in ski traffic.

The irony is somewhere in there.
A bunch of rich white people traveling 78 miles in 4 hours to stand in line for a ride up a mountain of white snow with millions of their affluent brethren, to celebrate a black man who fought for everyone's right to have a three day weekend January.

I, for one, am looking forward to joining my unwashed brethren at A-Basin for blue skies and minimal lines.
It's not going to snow this weekend. Volume is the only variable. I'm forecasting I-70 difficulty at 5/10

But it's going to snow tomorrow, and once it's plastered all over the news, that will feed the frenzy... especially since the Broncos are out of the playoffs and it's a long weekend. I predict Saturday as a 9/10 on the clusterfuck scale.

Everyone is going to the stock show. Mutton bustin' yo!
I'm sure we'll have our usual weekend commentators with the Google Maps red line report.
We need quality stoke on here, boats on shoulders, cars aflame, avalanches crossing the road, etc. etc.
