Once this shitshow is over, the weekend looks completely bluebird.

That said, that doesn't in anyway rule out closures.

Driving home from Steamboat to Golden. Decided to drive berthoud to avoid the tunnel. Have been stuck for an hour on the WP side of berthoud. It's dumping.

Loveland pass is closed and instead of doing the HAZMAT vehicles every hour, CDOT is just not allowing HAZMAT vehicles at the tunnel as of now. That's a welcome change and hopefully keeps EB traffic moving.

There shouldn't be much EB traffic as VP has been closed EB since 1.

    Closed for an accident, apparently?

Pepe Osaka's is really the only rational thing to do at this point.

You see, I-70 is unique in that it is an equal opportunity fucker. Fuck those people who say leave at 5 a.m., I'll drive up Friday night.

    Ha ha ha ha.

    OFFICIAL I70 BITCH THREAD....

Came back to Denver from WP and traffic going the other way was fucked over the pass. Like dead stopped traffic from the MJ entrance all the way up and over to the second switchback on the east side.

Heard my friend left Denver at 3:15 and still hasnít reached Bakersville.

Is this the weekend I70 implodes?

Took me 5 hours Steamboat to Golden today via Berthoud Pass.

Made it over Rabbit Ears about two hours before it closed. Heard it got really bad after I made it through.

Granby to Tabernash was some of the most intense driving that I've done in years. It was dumping snow and blowing hard. There was maybe 15 feet of visibility.

    OFFICIAL I70 BITCH THREAD....

My friend STILL isnít at Copper and he left with his family at 3:15.
In that time, I skied till 4 at Winter Park, drove back to Denver (slow over Berthoud but manageable), showered, dropped my kid at a sleepover, went to dinner, had drinks and came home.

Amazing that one could have driven to Taos easily or been over halfway to SLC or Jackson. But Iím sure I80 is super fucked too.
