Backed up one way to Floyd Hill and Downville the other.

Danno - Eldora has a few hidden secrets, but not much and they are almost always sharky or somewhat sketchy due to lack of glading.

Weird - I feel like the 'Boat is quite easy to figure out!

Had to drive to Denver today for a work deal. Left Edwards at 7am and the line of traffic westbound from the tunnel to Floyd Hill was crazy. Left the city at 1 and didn’t even consider 70. Took 285 and it was a smooth pleasant drive.

Still waiting for Hawkgt to show me all of them secrets, but I have learned my way around. And yeah, it's always sharky but the trees seem to be improved over my memory of them from 20 years ago; I have no problem alternately lapping Salto, Bryan, Gully, and Placer all day. Still need to figure out Moose.

It's a much better mountain than most people realize, yet weirdly still deserving of the shit everyone gives it.

Egress and Corona Way do suck though.
WP is binary. Groomers or bumps.

I think there's a lot of trees that you seem to have forgotten.

You forgot traversing. If you play your cards right, you can kinda sorta find some smooth bumps, sometimes.

Although it was low angle, I was sad to see parsenn bowl and backside, cut with bump paths under double fall line lifts.

Also low angle and short, and on the other side of the mountain, my favorite core local insider safety meeting hit was Stagecoach trees.

The bumped out trees have a lot less snowboarders on them though so they turn much nicer. Also the pillow lines in the Jane trees are pretty nice. What is 810cut and pony road?

    OFFICIAL I70 BITCH THREAD....

    Ok
    I’ll bitch

Took the toll lane EB. Cruising along at 70, blasting by the slow and go in the main lanes. Cars 40 yds in front going at same speed. Bro brah in lifted tacoma comes blasting from behind and tailgates me. As soon as I can, I cross the solid yellow line to get out of his way, he accelerates to tailgate the cars just ahead.

Then suddenly in Idaho Springs, he gets out of the toll lane and Is stuck in slow and go.

    WTF??

First of all why tailgate people when you can see cars ahead going the same speed?

Secondly, wtf with being an asshole and following too close and then getting out of the toll lane anyways?

    Seriously check yourselves bro brahs

It's just shitty agro drivers. Had one on my ass yesterday driving over an icy AF Swan mountain in an Outback. Seriously glazed ice and he's right on my ass. So I downshift, and just coasted. He actually got the point and backed off for the rest of the way down.

Very little in this avy report (as is often the case) but did a skier almost slide the road just over LL pass? Or maybe did and it got cleared? If so, surprised no comments already here or CO weather or slide zone (unless I missed)...

Outward Bound "Bowl" has a sad history to its name.

    OFFICIAL I70 BITCH THREAD....

People always seem crazy during the holidays. Add COVID and it seems worse than ever.
My wife and handicapped MIL were waiting for a parking space at Costco the other day, with blinker on. The car backs out, and my wife starts pulling in. Some other car coming from the other side doesn’t see them waiting for the spot and lays on the horn and both the woman and man start screaming out the window “it’s our spot you dirty whore!!! Fuck you!!!”
They drive by with the horn still blaring and park 3 spots away. While my shaken wife is helping her handicapped mom out of the car, they beeline over with a kid in tow continuing the verbal assault: that was our spot you dirty whore, fuck you, etc. They were so loud, a Costco employee came out and got the situation under control. Helped my wife and escorted her around to make sure these assholes didn’t do anything to them inside. Also had another employee watch our car. All that over a parking spot (with others open nearby) and a with kid. There are some sick people out there.

^^^WTF... Yeah, shit like the could and would happen before, but would be a whacked out anomaly. Now there just seems to be much less of a social barrier for people to act out their inner rage. Is that covid, the holidays, politics, social media grievance, combo, all of the above? Hopefully covid stress that will fade in 2021... hopefully. We're putting a lot of pressure on 2021 these days, huh?

It was the one on Havana in Aurora. The employees that helped were awesome and my wife called their boss to let them know that.

I had heard from some of you how conservative and slow going Loveland Patrol is these days, and now with having a pass there for the first time since high school holy shit you guys were right. Just riding up Ptarmigan couldn't for the life of me figure out why the lift line underneath was closed, filled in more than enough. Or the fact that stuff under lift 6 was open but they can't seem to get south chutes going when the former clearly had less snow.

Then I get to lift 6 and an old timer patroller is actively using a shovel to destroy a what was earlier in the day a fun mini roller you could really boost off of.

I hate being that "jaded local guy" since it's all too common but god dang they are really takin er easy...

There’s a Loveland thread to bitch in

But yeah, I don’t bother going to Loveland until January at the earliest. The Ridge is really fun but it takes forever to get it all open and then boom, season over.
