The Eagle 500 was a rough one this morning. I70 EB closed at Avon.

All the EB wrecks must be commuters. Just wait till the skier traffic hits.....right about now.

Couple sent to Avon as well I believe.
One that went to Vail was a VFD guy that had stopped to help a motorist and was struck. In ICU but stable with a long road ahead. A really good dude that this should have never happened to except for the fuckhead that hit him for whatever lame reason. jfc

lame mis-quote..."psuedo yelled" was the phrase used to ensure it wasn't misconstrued as red neck type spouse abuse.
did u see the pic of the up side down car above? yeah raise voice to make sure she stops taking that crap lightly...
lived in AZ for a long time and while the haboobs are way worse now, it was crazy to see the pile ups due to idiot drivers not slowing when viz got low. think there was a video posted here a few days ago of a pile up w cars and trucks plowing into each other for 5 or so minutes
we were on 70 heading back up the hill last year and witnessed a chain reaction pile up for est. 3 miles as folks heading east didnt slow and simply kept hitting the cars in front of them..almost backed up as fast as we were heading the bn other way. called CPS but they couldn't do anything in time unfortunately..real time
so yeah get off the road and way down into the shoulder or ditch if possible and let others be bumper cars. u seem smart, are u saying u dont look into the rear view when in highway traffic and things slow down quickly?

Adverse conditions on the drive East this evening, fortunately no incidents that I saw. Everyone seemed to be driving within their means, other than the guy in the Elantra buzzing by at 75. Maybe he had good snow tires.
One challenge was the windshield - the temp drop from 31 to 4 over the two and a half hours made things interesting.
