If you don't know about RAMP, we are an award-winning company, about 4 years old, and making high-tech skis/boards out of our 10,000-square-foot factory in Park City. My son's on a Tumbleweed snowboard and loves it. I have no affiliation with RAMP, other than my son riding on of their boards. They do make everything in the USA.

We have doubled production and sales, so things are outstanding. And we occasionally dabble in ramp building like making this 30-foot yeti outside our factory from factory scrap. It's a rideable feature. Athletes slide down the arm (aka ramp).

Super Sap, our epoxy. It will kill them but make a mess of your junk.

That's great to hear. We are planning for a mid-season release of a split board next year. Stay tuned.

Yeah Brant is a stud. He just came in to the factory, just now. About vacuum molding. Well the aerospace industry commonly uses vacuum molding and I'm pretty sure helicopter and airplane props (which are made from vacuum molding) are pretty bomber, but that's just me. Signal snowboards uses vacuum for instance. Commercial pressing has been used since the mid 1900s so it's the norm, and hard for big huge companies to switch. A preference, but we think it's a way better preference.

Do you do normal vacuum bag or vacuum infusion?

Those areospace parts are wet layup or prepreg vacuum bagged and or infused and autoclaved at pressures exceeding what most flat laminates are compression molded at.
Mostly because they are 3d shapes not flat laminates.
If the same resin to fiber ratios could be achieved in the same amount of time then all the larger companies would switch to vacuum.
Its much faster to tweak your designs using vacuum and much less cost incurred as well.
Whether it makes a comparable laminate is debatable IMO.

also what the fuck is "razor cut" sidecut? "Straight where you need cutting power and curved in the right spots for turning"

2) Can you give a legitimate defense for your choice to rely on marketing pitches and viral attention frenzies, rather than well-made, great-performing skis?

I think your ski names and topsheets need a revamp.

I realize its tongue-in-cheek calling a women's ski the Beaver, but you may as well call it the Bearded Clam and really have at it. As far as the men's version the Groundhog goes, anyone who's actually seen one dead on the side of the road, or run over one in a car, is not going to have a great first impression of the ski.

That said, I have no idea how the skis ski or are constructed, but the names don't help.
