Cool Wierd Things to do in NYC?
Thinking along the lines of urban exploring etc.
Going to see a lady friend who now lives there, and an old backcountry ski buddy I haven't seen in years. I am sure the lady friend's aroma will be just as alluring to me as I remember it, so any ideas that can impress her and make her realize how awesomely adventurous and manly I am would be welcome, but any ideas that might be too creepy, sketchy, dangerous, or possible less than entirely legal will probably work fine for me and my buddy.
Whatchoo got? Abandoned subway stations? Any abandoned mental hospitals around? Urban exploring is all I've come up with so far,but am open to all sorts of ideas, perhaps slightly classier options. I doubt this girl is expecting high class from me, but it wouldn't hurt to surprise her.
Oh and I'll be there from the 21st to the 26th if that makes a difference.__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ ________________

There are lots of weird things in NYC... Getting to them can be a little difficult. Others are right in front of you. Washington Square Park, Bryant Park, Madison Square Park are all enormous mass graves. Potter's Field on Hart Island (hard to get to) is the largest mass grave in the country. Kings Park Psych and Pilgrim State Hospital are nearby and abandoned. There are maps you can find online detailing the abandoned underground rail lines and stations. Some of it depends on your voluntary suspension of disbelief.. There are lots of websites that detail all sorts of conspiracies... Google around for the links between the Met Museum and Stonehenge..

Hail a cab downtown, tell the driver there's an extra $20 if he can get you to the Time Warner building in 10 mins.
It's the most fun you can have in NYC for either $10 (he doesn't make it), or $30 (he makes it).

Check this out for a hike or rent a bike if they allow them. Haven't done it yet, but I think you'll get some really unique views of the city.

Play Survivor - get dropped off at the corner of Layfayette and Malcom X in Brooklyn at midnight during a full moon, with no money or ID. Make your way back to CPS & Lex in Manhattan

Not really exploring, but if you want to see something truly hideous, dysfunctional, and terrifying you could always go to a Knicks game.

Impress your girl, offer to take her to Gray's Papaya for dinner and bring along a quality rum in a flask to augment the papaya drink.
