    Is my shock on backward?

    This was just brought to my attention...

    Been riding this bike hard and never noticed until this guy pointed it out.

    Flame away. Should I switch the pedals around too? I heard that's a good trick to get more torque out of each pedal stroke...

    It looks like if it was turned around, the piggy back reservoir would hit the frame.
    No longer stuck.

    As long as there's not contact with the frame, it doesn't matter which way the shock is oriented.

    In theory, if the shaft end is on the wheel side, the suspension will react faster due to less unsprung mass, but in practice on a mtn bike, the weight difference isn't enough to matter.
