Mount tele same place as alpine these days?
Does anyone still recommend mounting tele 2 cm back from alpine boot center mark? Voile Vector- large tip rocker, only small tail upturn, to be skied backcountry in powder/corn. Thanks-

I've been mounting mine that way(same as alpine) for 20 years.

I usually go 1" back or so with NTN, but I suck...

tele boot center goes where alpine/AT boot center goes.

some places like 22 Designs still say mount 2 cm back, but it doesn't seem most people are thinking that way any more. It used to be the concensus, which sort of makes sense given where your tele'd foot pressures the ski.

Somewhere between 0 to -1cm seems to work well on modern skis. Moar tail rocker = moar centered.

I still mount teles back (.5-1.5 cm) from the alpine line. The reason is, with tele gear you are driving the ski from the ball of the foot rather than the whole foot.
Cord center however has been completely abandoned as a tele mounting reference.

Unless i hear/read that the mark is located funky I mount mine boot center on the alpine mark, and have for a few years. No problems, and NTN gives you the ability to +/- it without re drilling.
