Nice to see a good, real 'full figure' women up there. though I think it contributes to her clunkier style.

Not to go all pro-hoe on you but I watched that kid nail those moves on the Perfect North triple jump line and they looked a lot better with poles.

She's 29 She has stopped skiing 6 years (got married, run a bar, got injured in a car crash, had a daugther...), start her carreer again in 2012, won the euro X games in 2013 and now a silver medal in the Olympics. She obviously worked very hard and I'm stoked for her. But what kind of an extreme sport is that ? WTF ?

Hmmm, video embed doesn't like the LiveLeak URL, you will just have to click. Worth it, if only for one last view of the British crumpets.

    Great first run by Shiffrin!

course looks easy, straightforward, very slushy. We'll see how it hold up for the top women on run 2....

(now to go back to bed and wake back up for run 2)

Indeed .49 lead out of the gate. Hopefully the course isn't too shitty by the time she runs last. The snow looks pretty soft.

    LOL

People should learn endurance; they should learn to endure the discomforts of heat and cold, hunger and thirst; they should learn to be patient when receiving abuse and scorn; for it is the practice of endurance that quenches the fire of worldly passions which is burning up their bodies.

Why is our shooting so poor compared to other countries? A few less misses and we'd have several top 5 or better finishes.
