I've survived five market cycles from dot-com, telco, mortgage RE, the long boom, and Covid stimulus. There's always more greater fool and dumb money. Always.

True but, as you noted, the scam changes form. The dumb money doesn't come running straight back to the thing that just fucked them in the ass and the promoters move on to selling the next uptrend. Crypto had its turn and now its ending.

Here's an irritating glitch: I moved BTC into USD on Coinbase before this recent free fall, won't let me use that cash to buy BTC. Maybe it hasn't settled?

Cashed out to my bank and bought from there. Irritating.

it might be knee deep powder, or the promise of a tropical barreling wave, or their daughters smile, in this thread it’s the pretense of overthrowing yankee capitalist oppression

or, you know, what could a coinbro soul cost $10?

Max Keiser, not really my favorite guy, but,

".@MicroStrategy has room on the balance sheet to buy another $500M in #Bitcoin

I’m hearing the board has given @saylor the green light to back up the truck and buy size

He’s chilling on his yacht at present but will make a decision soon."

I looked at Saylor's twitter feed and was very wrong about silence, he's spouting off like usual.

He's licking his fingers. He faces 2 options: 1) go ballz deep, or 2) get liquidated and walk away.

I think he's stashed enough away that he really doesn't GAF. Saylor I'm talking about. Keiser is just a disc jockey.

Chart Diviners - where does this head next? Am I supposed to be looking for shoulders or something? What do the Ouija boards say?

That's like bart meets head and shoulders.

I'm a ta nut, but I treat it like sipping a beer. It ignores all macro fundamentals. Interesting, but you know where we are heading.

I'm not a trader though. But if you are, the best pure TA resource for BTC I've found over many years is:

https://www.youtube.com/c/KrownsCryptoCave He doesn't pull punches or blow smoke up your ass.

And if you follow them down far enough you end up in Yosemite Valley, then down to the Central Valley, then eventually into a shitty smelling drainage ditch on a farm out back of Merced somewhere.
Man I miss climbing those. Some of the worst rock in that area, but stunning none the less. Tanaya canyon down to the valley I've done scores of times. What an amazing glacial granite descent.

I think I've climbed this more than any route in the park. Just a wake up, take a jaunt, and circle back.

Seems fitting. I honestly have climbed it more than 30 times.

What a cool twist to this thread.

Cathedral and Echo come to mind too in this context.

If you really want to get spicy, I've got a FA on the meat up on this:

I confirmed it with Galen Rowell. It was torture. And he confirmed it in person after the sufferfest in his gallery before he died.

The next day I did a cool down simul solo of the East ridge of Conness and down climbed the N. ridge. I spent a decade taking every single day off and always culminated in a 2 week granite trip to the Sierra and some red rock or jtree. I crave those days of free flowing bomber white granite.

Don't get me started on the N. Ridge of LPP:

Secor lived on the dashboard. A bagger like no other. I have multiple photos of unplanned bivies on LPP. That thing is a beast.
